Country Roads

Here at SHADY REST RV PARK, we are big fans of music, especially Bluegrass. We are always looking for groups to come out and have a Jam Session, and we  invite our guests to come listen and enjoy if they wish. We have a standing rule here. If you come here as a guest, and don't mind playing while others listen, we will discount your fee for that evening.

Occasionally, I play the banjo and welcome any one who wants to pick for a while. Let's make it an evening of music!!!!

     WHO WE ARE:

As a child, I could not wait for summer to arrive so I could come here and stay all 
summer with my grandparents. When I married and brought my wife here, she felt
the same peace that I have always felt when here.  In 1999, we came here and made 
this our home.  

After we were here for a while, we discussed how we could share what we felt with
others. It was my wifes idea to make a small rv park. We opened an area for dry 
camping in May of 2000. The few customerswe had that summer convinced us to put in water and electric. In 2001 we put in sewers and 23 full hook-up sites.

We have a seperate area for tent campers and another area for storage for those who wish to leave their rv here for the winter months. In the near future, 2007, we hope to have a shower room for both men and women. We will also be building a pavillion for people to play music in or have group meetings.
